About Us
The Manitoba Health Information Management Association is a non-profit organization comprised of skilled health information management professionals committed to advancement and ethical management of health information for the benefit of all.
The Associations main functions are to:
- promote the profession by creating awareness of the profession and the skill sets HIM Professionals possess;
- act as a resource to its members and other interested parties regarding health information practices and advances in technology;
- represent the concerns of its members to government, government agencies and other organizations;
- facilitate communication, education and interaction through conferences, workshops, and newsletters;
- provide representation on various external committees.
